10/4 Update

We are at 244 tons for the month after 3 days.  This puts us on course for a 2400 ton month.  We have already had a lot of downtime to begin the month.  We can’t help the mechanical and electrical events that cause us downtime, but we can limit the mistakes that cause a good amount of our downtime.  Please, ask if you are not sure about something.  Do not feel shy or embarrassed about any question.  Know that no matter how simple the question, it is appreciated that it is asked.   Couple of notes:

1.       There will be OSHA training at 6 AM and 7 AM on this Friday.   The day crew will need to come in an hour early and the night crew stay an hour later.

2.       For some reason someone decided that we were only going to put in  the 45 micron filters in on the slitter intensifiers.  I don’t know how this became the new way to do it because there are both the 1.0 and 0.45 micron filters in the cabinet.  Right next to each other!  This was not just a onetime event either.

3.       I increased the flow of the cleaning chemicals on the DuBois skid.  I think we all noticed it lacked any punch as of late.  Please give input on any changes seen.

4.       Keep working safe and look out for each other.
