In order to take every step possible to keep the tape from coming off the cores, a wipe down every core before the application of tape is mandatory. This is an attempt to remove any dust that accumulates on the core that could hinder adhesion. There are two types wiping medium in the control room. There are painters wipe gloves and a box of wiping clothes. Please use one or the other to wipe the cores.
