Great day yesterday. We are just above our projected numbers for the month at this rate. 2600 tons or bust.
We need to make sure that we are doing as well after the paper is made. We are having lost production from bad handling of the rolls and set up. Now that we are running well on the on the machine- please focus on the off machine. We have already lost some production from mishandling of the rolls. Make sure there are :
1. headers and footers properly put on all “A” and “Hold” rolls
2. do not walk on the cardboard that the roll will be set on
3. put something under the rolls before you set it on its sides
4. be careful removing the cookie
5. use individual pieces of tape for each section of core
6. use the blue squeegee to set the tape
7. keep above the building reel as clear of debris as possible
